Singapore LTA rules
Singapore allows heat-rejection window film as long as enough light still passes through the glass. Here is what the rules require, and which V-KOOL films fit.
At least 70% of visible light must pass through the front windscreen and the driver and front passenger windows.
At least 25% of visible light must pass through the rear windscreen and rear side windows.
Films must be non-reflective and must not block the signal between ERP gantries and your in-vehicle / on-board unit.
Used in our Singapore packages and marked LTA compliant
Visible light transmission of 25% or more
Film values are measured on 3mm clear glass. Your car’s own glass is usually slightly tinted, so the final reading on the car is lower than the film value — our installers check the result with a light meter before you drive off.

Our Singapore packages use X75 on the front windscreen and J83 on the front windows, both LTA compliant. Darker Solitaire or Signature films are used on the rear windscreen and rear windows.
Please wait 48 hours before winding down the windows, and do not switch on the rear defogger for 2 weeks.
Wait at least 7 days so the adhesive bonds fully to the glass. Then clean with warm soapy water and a soft microfibre cloth — no ammonia or alcohol-based cleaners.
Discoloration, peeling, cracking, de-laminating or de-metalisation caused by defects in manufacture, materials or installation.
